1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services of GatiGoodsShifting, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2Services Offered
GatiGoodsShifting provides comprehensive packing and moving services including home shifting, office relocation, vehicle transportation, and warehouse storage. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.
3Booking and Payment
All bookings must be confirmed with advance payment as specified. Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods including cash, UPI, and bank transfer. Full payment must be made before or upon delivery of goods unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for: (a) Providing accurate information about the items to be moved, (b) Ensuring all items are ready for packing/moving at the scheduled time, (c) Declaring any valuable, fragile, or hazardous items, (d) Obtaining necessary permissions for moving in/out of premises, (e) Being present or having a representative during packing, loading, and unloading.
5Prohibited Items
We do not transport: (a) Illegal substances or contraband, (b) Explosives, firearms, or ammunition, (c) Hazardous materials or chemicals, (d) Perishable food items, (e) Live plants or animals, (f) Cash, jewelry, or securities (unless specifically declared and insured), (g) Items prohibited by law or regulation.
6Insurance and Liability
GatiGoodsShifting offers optional insurance coverage for transported goods. Without insurance, our liability is limited to Rs. 100 per kg of the shipment weight. We are not liable for: (a) Damages due to improper packing by customer, (b) Acts of God, natural disasters, or force majeure events, (c) Delay due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, (d) Loss or damage to prohibited or undeclared items.
7Valuation and Claims
Customers must declare the value of goods at the time of booking. Any claims for loss or damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Claims will be processed as per the insurance terms or our standard liability coverage. Photographic evidence of damage must be provided for claim processing.
8Cancellation and Refund
Cancellations made 48 hours before scheduled moving date: 100% refund of advance payment. Cancellations made 24-48 hours before: 50% refund of advance payment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before: No refund. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.
9Delay and Rescheduling
While we strive to adhere to schedules, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control including traffic, weather, vehicle breakdown, or government restrictions. We will notify customers of any significant delays. Customers may reschedule once without charges if done 48 hours in advance.
10Storage Terms
For warehouse storage services: (a) Minimum storage period is one month, (b) Monthly charges apply pro-rata, (c) Storage facility has 24/7 security and CCTV surveillance, (d) Access to stored goods requires 24 hours advance notice, (e) Storage charges must be paid in advance.
11Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Customer information is used solely for service delivery and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or for service execution (e.g., drivers, warehouse staff).
12Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through mutual discussion. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
13Modification of Terms
GatiGoodsShifting reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of services after modifications constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
